Our Story

Built on the belief that every child deserves clarity.

Lumina was founded in Lagos with a single conviction: that children with ADHD and Autism shouldn't have to wait years for answers. We built a center where rigorous science meets genuine human warmth — and where families are never left to navigate alone.

Our Journey

Twelve years of growing alongside Lagos families.

What started as a small clinical practice has grown into the most trusted specialist center for childhood neurodevelopment in Nigeria — without ever losing the intimacy that makes our work meaningful.

We've walked alongside hundreds of families through the most challenging and transformative moments of their lives. Every assessment report, every therapy milestone, every tearful "thank you" — it's what drives us forward.

What We Stand For

Six principles that guide everything we do.

These aren't words on a wall — they're the commitments we make to every child and family who walks through our doors.

Evidence-Based Practice

Every assessment tool and therapy method we use is grounded in peer-reviewed research and internationally validated clinical frameworks. No guesswork — just science applied with care.

Family as Partners

Parents and caregivers are not bystanders. They are co-therapists, advocates, and experts on their own child. We work with families, not just for them.

Early Intervention

Ages 3–10 is the window where neuroscience shows the greatest capacity for change. Acting early doesn't just help — it shapes a child's entire developmental trajectory.

Trauma-Informed Care

Many children arrive with anxiety about new environments. Our spaces, pacing, and language are all designed to create safety first — learning and growth follow from there.

Cultural Sensitivity

We understand the Nigerian family context — the extended support systems, the school pressures, the stigma that still exists. Our approach is built for the families we actually serve.

Radical Transparency

We share findings plainly, explain every recommendation, and never hide behind clinical jargon. You should leave every session knowing exactly where things stand and what comes next.

Our Team

The people behind the progress.

Every specialist at Lumina brings deep clinical training and a genuine love for working with children.
